About the Play
The Last Five Years is an intimate and unconventional musical that captures the rise and fall of a relationship between two young New Yorkers. Cathy, an aspiring actor, tells her story in reverse, while Jamie, a budding writer, moves forward in time, creating a deeply moving narrative that unfolds from opposite directions. As their dreams take them down different paths, the show explores whether love can endure when two lives begin to pull apart.
